Terms of Service

1. What the service provides

The platform provides self-study Chinese free of charge, including:

• Course videos and practice covering TOCFL A1–B1
• An AI teaching agent, speaking assessment, a writing coach and spaced review
• TOCFL mock exams, a learning record, achievement badges and completion certificates
• Course management, marking and reporting for teachers and institutions

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You can register and sign in with a social account (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook or LINE) or with an email address and password.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe; activity under your account is treated as your own.
• Children under seven must be registered by a legal guardian; minors aged seven or over need a guardian's consent.
• Teacher and institution administrator accounts must have two-step verification enabled, as platform policy requires.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing or otherwise inappropriate content — including notes, assignments and anything typed to the AI
• Access, scrape or disrupt the service at scale with automated tools
• Impersonate anyone, circumvent access controls, or share your account so somebody else can sit a test
• Use platform content for unauthorised commercial purposes

4. Using the AI features

• AI-generated content is a study aid and can be wrong. The platform marks AI content clearly in the interface and provides a way to report it.
• For teachers, the AI only ever suggests; the final feedback and grade are what the teacher confirms and sends.
• The AI features have reasonable usage limits, so that the service stays usable for everyone.

5. Intellectual property

• Intellectual property in the platform's courses, materials and interface belongs to the Ministry of Education, the operating institution, or the teachers who licensed it.
• You keep your rights in the notes and assignments you create, and grant the platform the licence it needs to provide the service — marking and learning-record analysis, for instance.
• A completion certificate is evidence of your own study. It must not be forged or altered.

6. Changes and suspension

The platform may suspend or change the service for maintenance or policy reasons; significant changes are announced on the platform. Accounts that breach these terms may be limited or terminated, and you can delete your own account at any time from your settings.

7. Disclaimers

The platform is provided as is. A mock exam score is for self-assessment and is not an official Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) result. To the extent the law allows, the platform is not liable for loss caused by network interruptions or by failures in third-party services such as video hosting or social sign-in.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan); the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance for any dispute arising from them. Any revision is announced and sent to registered users 14 days before it takes effect.
